Neonatal Mechanical Ventilation
This course is a comprehensive review that provides Neonatologists with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage respiratory support in the Neonatal patient population.
The development of this course follows years of clinical and teaching experience, with input from fellow clinicians. In over 30 hours of pre-recorded sessions, different aspects of mechanical ventilation will be discussed with a focus on the physiological basis of lung pathology and pulmonary graphics.
Target Audiences
Physiology of neonatal and pediatric respiratory systems, indications for mechanical ventilation
Various modes of ventilation, ventilator settings and adjustments, monitoring and assessment of ventilated patients
Troubleshooting common ventilator issues, and strategies for ventilator weaning and extubation
Through a combination of pre-recorded lectures, case studies, and interactive discussions, participants will gain a thorough understanding of the principles and practices of mechanical ventilation in neonatal patients.
By the end of this course, participants will be equipped with the necessary skills to confidently manage mechanical ventilation in neonatal and pediatric settings, improve patient safety, and enhance overall quality of care for this vulnerable population.
