In this course, you’ll learn how to use ultrasound to diagnose the most important problems seen in the acute care setting. Ideal for anyone who’s just starting to use point of care ultrasound — be it in the emergency department, general ward, ICU, or private clinic. Learn to use US to increase your success rate, and decrease complications, when performing common procedures.

Module 2: Gall bladder & CBD, Biliary system, Gall bladder imaging, Pathologies, Cholelithiasis, Cholecystitis (Acute & Chronic), Polyp, Gall bladder full of stones, Adenomyomatosis, Worms in GB, Choleledocholithiasis
Module 3: Liver - Basic Anatomy, Scanning, Pathologies, Cirrhosis, Acute hepatitis, Haemangioma, Fatty liver, Abscess, polycystic liver disease, Simple cyst, Hydatid cyst, solid tumor masses
Module 4: Kidney - Basic Anatomy, Scanning, Congenital Anomalies, Pelvic Ectopic kidney, Horse shoe kidney, Crossed fused renal ectopia, Pathologies, Parenchymal changes (Grade I, II, III), Stone, Hydronephrosis, Abscess, Angiomyolipoma
Module 5: Urinary Bladder - Basic Anatomy, Scanning, Pre-void & post-void volume, Vesicle calculus, Cystitis, Bladder diverticula, Tumorous mass
Module 6: Spleen & Pancreas - Anatomy, Pancreatitis (Acute & Chronic), Pseudocyst, Toumrous mass, Spleenomegally, Spleenic Abscess
Perform an ultrasound of abdominal organs. Confidently identify normal variants of the abdominal organs. Diagnose and document the most common abdominal pathologies. Differentiate between benign and malignant changes in abdominal organs. Select the key images to document and write a comprehensive ultrasound report.
